Lemon Squares

Baked Goods, Dessert Bars

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups all purpose flour

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup ground almonds

1 cup margarine

Lemon Filling:

4 eggs

2 cups sugar

1/3 cup lemon juice

1/4 cup all purpose four

1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

Crust:
Mix first four ingredients and press into a 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 350o for 15 minutes or until light golden.
Cool 10 minutes.

Lemon Filling:
Beat eggs, sugar and lemon together.
Combine flour and baking powder.
Stir into egg mixture.
Pour over crust.

Bake at 350o for 18 to 23 minutes. (However when I tried it, it took more like 30 - 40 minutes to cook.)
Make sure set and light golden.
